The Karachi Dairy and Cattle Farmers Association has announced hike in milk and yogurt prices disregarding the official rates fixed by district administration in the metropolitan city, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
Milk is now being sold at Rs210 per litre instead of Rs180 in the mega city, whereas the price of curd has also been increased to Rs320 per kg, worsening the situation for the average person.
Following a hike in petroleum products, the prices of basic commodities like milk and curd have also been jacked up between Rs30-40 per kg.
The purchasing power of the citizens is being affected due to the rampant inflation. The citizens have demanded from the concerned authorities to implement the government rates as soon as possible and provide them some relief.
