Just a day after former prime minister and ex-PTI chairman Imran Khan filed an appeal against his conviction in the Toshakhana reference, his wife Bushra Bibi too challenged the accountability court’s (AC) verdict in the same case in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Making the state and the NAB respondents, Bushra, in her petition, filed through Barrister Salman Safdar, prayed to the court to declare the AC’s order dated January 31 null and void.
The court had given 14-year imprisonment to Imran and Bushra in the case besides slapping Rs787 million on them in fine.
The former prime minister had challenged his sentence in the Toshakhana (gift repository) case in the Islamabad High Court on Friday.
