Senior bureaucrat Hamed Yaqoob Sheikh (BPS-21) was appointed special secretary to the Power Division on Saturday. 

According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division, Sheikh has been appointed to a post, which has already been vacant for some time. Sheikh belongs to the Pakistan Administrative Services Group and has been awaiting posting. 

Sheikh has been appointed special secretary to the Power Division under Section 10 of the Civil Servants Act, 1973. His appointment as special secretary to the Power Division has been ordered with immediate effect and until further notice.
