The Punjab government has approved the initial budget of Rs7 billion to build a 1,000-bed hospital in Lahore.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the 1,000-bed general hospital will be built behind the Arfa Karim Tower.
The channel said the Punjab government has approved the hospital project to be completed in two phases.
The total cost of the hospital is estimated at Rs14 billion. Earlier, the total funds for the project this year were fixed Rs2,000 million only.
