Opposition parties alliance vows to join hand for the restoration of rule of law and the supremacy of the constitution in the country, reported 24NewsHDTV channel.
Tehreek Tahafuzz Ain-e-Pakistan leaders Mehmood Khan Achakzai, Asad Qaiser, Salman Akram Raja, Omar Ayub and Miftah Ismail meet at the residence of former PM Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Friday to discuss future plan of action.
After the meeting, Opposition leaders held a press conference. Talking to media Shahid Khaqan Abbasi said that for upholding democracy and rule of law in the country all opposition parties have to join hands for launching a decisive movement in the country. He said in order to create census, there was need that Tehreek Tahafuzz Ain-e-Pakistan leaders will meet all political parties and invite them to join their struggle as no single political party can move against the constitution.
Mehmood Khan Achakzai told media that all political parties who believe in the integrity of Pakistan, democracy and the supremacy of the constitution, should come on one platform. He also invited the opposition parties to be a part of this movement.
PTI MNA Asad Qaiser said that the time has come to fight for the supremacy of the constitution and the rule of law in the country. He further said that the punishment given to the PTI founder is a blow to the entire judiciary as the executive organs of the government were using the judiciary, which is not acceptable.
Leader of the opposition in National Assembly Omar Ayub demanded of the government to arrange their meeting with Imran Khan, if the government wants, this meeting can be arranged immediately. He also emphasized that all political parties should come together and demanded of the government to establish judicial commission to probe May 9 and November 26, 2024 incidents.
