The Federal Investigation Agency’s (FIA) NCB Interpol, in one of its major operations, has taken into its possession two kids, who had gone missing two years ago, on arrival at the Islamabad airport from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and later handed them over to the Punjab Police, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The provincial police had informed the FIA of the disappearance of the children.
The case of their disappearance had been registered at Barki Police Station of Lahore in 2022.
The Interpol had issued yellow notices for the recovery of the children, have been identified as Muhammad Huzaifa and Ahmad Umais Abid.
On the other hand, the FIA officials have said that the enforcement of IBMS enabled them to trace these kids which ultimately led to their recovery.
They have said that under the new system, the immigration’s database has been linked to Interpol’s database, and this will help trace missing children, stolen passports and arrest most wanted suspects on arrival at Pakistani airports.
