While many have not been accustomed to the exquisite beauty which lies in northern Pakistan, if you ever travel up the north you will realise that Pakistan is blessed with enthralling landscapes and ravishing scenery.

Now that our travel options have become severely limited many local tourists have started making travel plans for up north.

We are certainly not implying that tourists are seeking to explore north as it is the only option left however northern Pakistan is certainly a locality which should be revelled but as more and more tourists are choosing to unravel Pakistan’s beauty, the northern people are not pleased with the habits of the city people.

We do have to acknowledge that the mountain area is sacred and villages that are situated there comprises of people having values and traditional customs that certainly don’t align with ours.

Let us tell you that the impression that city people have left on the northern citizens is certainly appalling.

Canadian travel vlogger Rosie Gabrielle took to her social media and shared a note which managed to go viral over the internet.

She emphasises over the fact that instead of introducing the villagers with a bundle of good memories, local tourists only brought bad behaviours, drugs, vulgarity, rave parties and A LOT of trash.

She revealed how when she travelled up north in Pakistan, she was shocked and it wasn’t a pleasing experience.

Why?

Because she had a nervous breakdown from the kind of disruption and turbulence she saw in local tourists.

She is devastated to acknowledge what the people of northern areas are experiencing on account of destructive tourism

Rosie further added that she "understand that people need to express themselves, release pent up energies and get out of their suffocating lives but coming to sacred land, feeling privileged and entitled to destroy it, bringing your toxic habits to innocent communities is NOT okay! By introducing these behaviours and substances you are destroying a culture. By leaving your trash, demolishing the land and disrespecting the house of God."

Further, she added: "I received countless messages from local Hunza people, pleading me to help stop this carnage. They are losing their traditional values, indigenous cultures and land. Because this world is not ours to destroy. These lands and cultures are not yours to abuse”.

"The north is pure, please keep it that way or stay home” Rosie concluded.

Rosie has an extremely valid point here if we wish to see it with an open mind.

When we visit a territory which is mind-blowingly beautiful and that too from the nature’s end, we must not take part into demolishing the nature’s beauty by falling victim to our habitual acts.

Also it is severely important to respect the culture and traditional customs of a territory as the villagers are being generously welcoming as they offer us the blessings of their area and as a moral and responsible citizen we should appreciate also respect their graciousness by indulging in as less trouble as possible.
