Lahore witnesses heatwave on first day of Eid, chances of rain tomorrow

On the first day of Eid in Lahore, temperatures soared as the sun scorched the city with intensified heat.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the mercury reached a record high of 42 degrees Celsius with forecasts suggesting it could rise even higher, possibly reaching up to 46 degrees today.
According to the Met Office, the humidity level in the air stands at 27 per cent while winds are blowing at a speed of 12 kilometers per hour in the city of Lahore.
The Meteorological Department has urged residents to take precautionary measures to protect themselves from the heatwave.
Looking ahead, the Meteorological Department has predicted chances of rain during the next 48 hours, starting from the second day of Eid until June 22nd.
On the other hand, Lahore has ranked 19th in the global air quality index grading for environmental pollution, recording an overall Air Quality Index (AQI) of 95.
