Flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Afridi has suggested the Pakistan Cricket Board to hand over the Pakistan Super League Trophy to the table toppers Multan Sultans.
Afridi, who is also part of Multan franchise in player-mentor role, gave the suggestion on twitter after the PCB postponed the PSL semi-final and final due to coronavirus and announced to hold remaining matches at a later date.
However, the possibility of holding semi-finals and final at latter stage is very dim as the once the sporting activities around the globe comes to normalcy after overcoming the coronavirus pandemic even in that situation the scheduling of the events would be almost impossible due to crowded calendar.
So it would have been only wise if the PCB has decided the winner as well but to be wise and to be the PCB are entirely two different things, always.
The PCB already had taken the postponement decision very late and have put the players and support staff health in a jeopardy.
Afridi also said that this decision should have been take much earlier.
Shaid Afrid took to twitter to support the sad decision and also suggested to
“Sad to see the PSL end, but health and safety of all concerned is the key, esp those who are travelling back to their homes. Perhaps the decision could have been taken earlier, with regards to the trophy...well the table-topper should be handed the trophy? @MultanSultans
