US suspends visa services in Pakistan amid coronavirus outbreak

The United States on Monday suspended its visa services in Pakistan in the wake of coronavirus outbreak in the country.

According to a statement issued by the US Embassy in Islamabad late on Monday evening, all appointments set by the US Embassy and consulates in Pakistan were suspended from March 17. The statement said that visa services would be restored soon, but refused to give a timeframe for restoration of the services. However, visa services will be available to US citizens without any interruption, the statement concluded.
