There is no let-up in the cases of Lumpy Skin disease in animals in Sindh as after the detection of 590 more cases during the last 24 hours, the number of infected cattle in the province has now reached 26,431, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
Not only that hundreds of cases are being reported from across Sindh, especially Hyderabad, daily but the number of cattle dying from the virus has also increased.
According to the livestock department, 189 animals have lost their lives to the disease in the province so far, while 16, 201 animals are currently under treatment and 10, 41 have recovered.
Only in Karachi, the department officials added, cases of the Lumpy Skin virus had exceeded 16,000, while in Thatta the number of cases stands at 4,388.
