Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Shaukat Tarin no Thursday admitted that the ‘friends’ have not extended help to Pakistan as was expected, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The finance minister also refuted the news stories claiming that the government’s talks with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) had been suspended.
During an informal talk with the media in Islamabad, the minister said that the IMF had been informed about the steps taken for the improvement of the economy.
“The talks with the IMF are completed. We are waiting for the final answer from the IMF which is expected on Friday (tomorrow),” he stated.
