The federal government has announced a series of high-level transfers and appointments in the bureaucracy, with several senior officials reassigned to new positions. The Establishment Division has issued official notifications regarding these changes.
As part of the reshuffle, Asad Rehman Gilani, who was serving as the Prime Minister’s Secretary, has been transferred and appointed as the Secretary of the National Heritage Division. Meanwhile, Hassan Nasir Jami, the former Secretary of the National Heritage Division, has been transferred and made Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Establishment Division.
In another key move, Muhammad Usman Chachar, the Managing Director of the Printing Corporation of Pakistan, has been transferred. The Grade-22 officer from the Pakistan Administrative Service has now been directed to report to the Establishment Division. In his place, the federal cabinet has approved the appointment of Muhammad Ayub Chaudhry as the new Managing Director of the Printing Corporation of Pakistan on deputation. Chaudhry, a Grade-21 officer, was previously awaiting a new appointment in the Establishment Division.
Significant changes have also been made in the Police Service of Pakistan. The services of Captain (Retd.) Asim Khan, a Grade-20 officer, who was awaiting appointment in the Establishment Division, have now been handed over to the Balochistan government. Similarly, OSD Shahzad Akbar, another Grade-20 officer, has also been transferred to Balochistan. In addition, the transfer of Grade-19 officer Ali Sher Jakhrani, who was previously moved from the Balochistan government to the Motorway Police, has been cancelled. He has now been instructed to continue his services in Balochistan.
The Establishment Division has officially issued notifications for all the transfers and appointments.
