The National Assembly Monday unanimously passed a resolution condemning the Israeli atrocities and to show solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The resolution, presented by Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, condemned the systematic oppression and domination of the Palestinian people.
It denounced the attacks by Israel on worshippers in Al-Aqsa mosque during Ramazan.
The resolution rejected the continuing practice of expanding settlements through forced evictions by the apartheid regime in violation of Article 49 of the Four Geneva Convention.
The house called upon the international community to take immediate action against genocide, and forced displacement of the Palestinian people; and to establish an international protection mechanism for the Palestinian people
It demanded the international community ensure accountability for all past and present grave human rights violations and crimes against humanity being perpetrated against the Palestinians by Israel.
The house also called upon the OIC to take immediate decisive steps for the protection and safety of the Palestinian people and to break the illegal Israeli blockade of Gaza to provide humanitarian assistance.
It added that Israel is committing genocide of Palestinians and its brutalities are increasing with every passing day. It further says that this house strongly condemns the settlement of the Jews in Palestine’s areas. Palestinian should be given their right to self-determination.
