Former Senate chairman Mian Raza Rabbani called uncalled for the US State Department spokesman’s habit of commenting on the political situation in Pakistan.
The seasoned politician said Pakistan is an independent country that can deal with its internal issues on t its own.
In a press release, Raza Rabbani said: “The US State Department Spokesman has made a habit of daily commenting on the political situation in Pakistan. He needs to be reminded that Pakistan is not a state nor is it a lackey or client state of the United States. Therefore, such comments are uncalled for and condemned.
“ Pakistan is an independent sovereign country which can deal with its internal instability without any guidance or comments from any state. The internal instability and political unrest are being and will be tackled within the four corners of the Constitution and law.
“Such statements by the spokesman of the US State Department and or other countries is interference in the internal affairs of Pakistan. The Western world needs to realize that Pakistan will not accept neo-colonialism. Pakistan expects that such countries will refrain from making any such statements in the future.”
