The Election Appellate Tribunal comprising Lahore High Court Justice Sultan Tanvir Ahmed dismissed the complaint against the victory of Malik Afzal Khokar in NA-125 after the applicant's counsel failed to appear in the court, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
PTI-backed runner-up candidate Javed Umar had challenged the success of Malik Afzal Khokhar in the Appellate Tribunal.
Meanwhile, the Appellate Tribunal reserved the judgment after hearing the arguments of the counsels against the victory of PML-N MPA and Provincial Minister Faisal Ayub in PP-168 Lahore.
PTI-backed runner-up candidate Malik Nadeem Bara had approached the Tribunal against the success of Faisal Ayub.
The Election Tribunal also issued notices to MPA Khawaja Salman Rafique and others at the request of runner-up candidate Mian Awais Anjum from PP-153 Lahore, who had demanded the suspension of the victory notice of Khawaja Salam Rafique.
The Election Tribunal also summoned PTI-backed independent MPA Ahmar Bhatti who had obtained victory in PP-165 Lahore on the complaint of PML-N runner-up candidate Shahzad Nazir.
