Celebrated Pakistani star Yumna Zaidi during her latest media interaction at ZAB Media Festival, perfectly straightened the controversial queries regarding her superhit drama serial 'Tery Bin' in which she depicted a character 'Meerab', saying proudly: “I feel that Tere Bin is the most watched drama of the Pakistan entertainment industry, so I do not need to defend it or my character,”
During the question and answer session held in the span of the event, a journalist went up from the audience and asked Yumna for her precious opinion in defense of critiques for playing a rude girl in Tery Bin.
In response to the question, Yumna offered a confident answer which has been approved greatly by fans.
Here is the exact discussion held between Yumna and Journalist during the festival:
Question: People say that Meerab was a selfish girl how would you defend your character?
Yumna: “I feel that Tere Bin is the most-watched drama of the Pakistan entertainment industry, so I do not need to defend it or my character. If the drama had a name and people were not watching it, then I would come up and promote it. So, the answer is based on the viewership and viewers.”
It is important to mention that Tere Bin, now returning for a second season, also transcended geographical borders and was deemed the most-watched Pakistani drama in India as well. Its popularity stemmed from audiences left captivated by the story of Meerab, an ambitious woman, whose life is transformed after marrying the dominating Murtasim, played by Wahaj Ali.
The onscreen chemistry between the two leads contributed immensely to the popularity of the drama. The love story, which often went viral, sometimes for the wrong reasons, was so well received that rumours began circulating an Indian remake was in the works.
