Lahore police apprehended more than 70 workers of Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf (PTI) from different areas of Lahore for inciting people to participate in a protest rally on November 24, 2024, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.
In some areas, police failed to arrest the PTI leaders, but they arrested their domestic workers from their homes.
Sources said that Lahore police conducted raids in Wahdat Road, Iqbal Town, Johar Town, Mustafa Town, Satukatla, Kahna, Kot Lakhpat, Defence, Factory Area, West Cantonment, North Cantonment, Mughalpura, Shalimar, Baghbanpura, Misri Shah, Icchra, and Garhi Shahu to arrest PTI workers.
Lahore police constituted separate teams of operations, investigation, and organised crime units (OCU) to arrest PTI workers for inciting the general public to create a law and order situation.
