PPP Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari Sunday said the protest against unprecedented inflation, unemployment and rising corruption under the ‘selected regime’ would continue till sending the ‘puppet prime minister’ Imran Khan packing.

The PPP staged a power show at Karachi’s Bagh-e-Jinnah in commemoration of those martyred on 18 October 2007 in twin terror attacks in the Karsaz.

Addressing the Bagh e Jinnah rally, PPP Chairperson remembered the sacrifices given by his late mother, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto, and said that “she was a brave lady who returned to Pakistan, despite the life threats.”

“Benazir could have addressed the people from video links but she was courageous enough to make her way back for country’s sake”, Bilawal added.

Bilawal slammed the PTI government and said that the people were suffering from record inflation.

Recalling how PM Khan had earlier said that growing inflation indicates that the premier is a thief, Bilawal said: "This country has never seen a bigger thief than Imran Khan. This is the Naya Pakistan of Imran Khan where inflation is skyrocketing."

“This is the Naya (New) Pakistan, where inflation is on its peak”.

He said that “PM Khan stole job opportunities from the people of the country and took a U-turn on all the promises which he made."

"Whatever task Imran Khan undertook saw destruction instead of the promised tabdeeli (change)," he said.

Bilawal bashed the PM Khan’s “Tiger Force” and said: “Imran Khan wants to turn the whole country into his “Tiger Force”.

Bilawal added, “The PPP is the successor of all the martyrs who sacrificed for the country and democracy”.

Bilawal Bhutto also targeted the government's policy of establishing the single National Curriculum as well as it anti-encroachment drive.

The Chairman PPP announced that his party will observe its foundation day on November 30 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).

Several PPP leaders, including Bilawal's sister, Aseefa Bhutto, were also in attendance at the jalsa.

Prior to Bilawal, Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah delivered a speech and talked about the growing inflation in the country.

"PM Imran Khan takes wrong decision irrespective of who he consults," said CM Shah.

He said that the incumbent government had made tall claims about its performance but failed to deliver, adding that Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari will rid the poor masses from the current government.

Following CM Shah, PPP Sindh chapter president Nisar Khuhro also addressed the rally.

Earlier, the PPP caravans coming from Interior Sindh reached Bagh-e-Jinnah in droves. A big rally comprising thousands of PPP workers led by Sindh Irrigation Minister Jam Khan Shoro also reached Karachi.

PPP jiyalas (party workers) in large numbers were off to Karachi from Hyderabad, Thana Bola Khan, Jhamshoro, and interior Sindh in caravans.

Party workers were carrying party flags and buntings to show their love for party leadership.

Police have placed containers around the Bagh-e-Jinnah as security measures and all kinds of traffic has been stopped from going towards Mazar-e-Quaid.
