Another heavyweight African white lion died in Karachi Zoo after facing three days long sickness in his cage.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the African white lion was sick for several days and was not taking any meals properly.
The channel report said that the big white lion who was around 10 feet long and 4 feet high died three days ago.
The scientific name of the African white lion is Panthera Leo and its weight is up to 530 pounds for males while the life span is around 18 years.
Karachi Zoo's Senior Director Raza Rizvi said the deceased lion was 18 years old and his death is natural.
Anyhow, the sources said that skin samples have been taken from the dead lion to find out the cause of death.
It is worth mentioning that in 2010, four lions were imported from abroad and two lions died in June and November last year.
