Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) candidate Ali Musa Gilani has said he fought the battle of the ballot as a solider of Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the party chairman, 24NewsHD TV channel reported late Sunday.
“Everyone fought the election as Musa. It is not my victory, it is the victory of all of you,” the son of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani said.
Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan has not given anything to the country.
As soon as the supporters of the PPP candidate got to know about his victory, they took to the streets and started celebrations. Rallying, folk dance and a show of fireworks were parts of the celebration in the constituency.
PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto extended his congratulations to Musa. He took to Twitter to extend his greetings to Musa on regaining the seat and ousting the PTI from Multan.
PPP candidate Ali Musa Gilani, the son of former prime minister Yousaf Raza Gilani, beat PTI’s Mehr Bano Qureshi, he daughter of former foreign minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, and secured the NA 157 seat.
