The Lahore High Court has announced that lawyers appearing before the court and regional benches will be required to don traditional gowns from November 1, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
A notification issued by the Lahore High Court on Monday mandates that lawyers practicing within the Lahore High Court will need to adhere to this dress code as the winter season is about to set in.
This significant decision has been taken to maintain and uphold the court's longstanding decorum and tradition.
Key stakeholders in the legal community, including the Advocate General of Punjab and the Secretary of the Lahore High Court Bar Association, have already received copies of this notification.
