Talking about it, Nida Yasir responded to a woman in the audience and said, “My daughter is older than yours; she is over fifteen, but my husband hasn’t allowed her to make Instagram reels. Yes, she is not allowed to make reels, even though we are in showbiz, and people assume that showbiz families are liberal. Still, we haven’t allowed our daughter to use social media in that way.
Further, she said children nowadays are using mobile phones and they have social accounts and girl post their videos while dressing like they don't opt in normal days.
Actress Fazila Qazi and Sadia Imam also chime in to share their own experiences raising kids with checks and balances in this digital age.
Fazila Qazi said parents are treating their three and four-year-old children nowadays like 16-year-old ones which is wrong. She advised to take a smartphone from her daughter and gave her a normal phone through which you could contact her only.
Sadia Imam also said she has one daughter and it was very easy for her to become social as she always came with her to different shows but she did not allow her everything and asked her to pray to Allah when she wanted something.
She said that parents should be careful and not provide luxuries to their children at a young age that will destroy them and result in no motivation and struggle in life to earn money and become successful.
