Shikarpur police continued their operation in the Garhi Tegho area of Khanpur, aiming to recover hostages and apprehend notorious bandits.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the Sindh police operation has been underway for the past 24 hours, leading to the death of six dacoits and injuries to 17 others.
During the standoff, both sides exchanged heavy gunfire. Infamous bandit Rano Teghani was killed in the crossfire, while several others were injured.
The police officials said rocket launchers were used against the dacoits of Katcha areas in an effort to subdue them.
Among those killed were high-profile criminals, including Rano Teghani, Hakeem Teghani, Adam Teghani, and Jagan Teghani.
Meanwhile, notorious bandit Akbar Teghani was reportedly injured during the operation, along with others.
The police have called for reinforcements to bolster their efforts, and the operation remains ongoing.
