Former Finance Minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) central leader Ishaq Dar has unequivocally stated there are no legal impediments to Mian Nawaz Sharif's participation in the upcoming elections, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

Addressing a press conference in London after the conclusion of the PML-N meeting, he said that it has been decided that Mian Nawaz Sharif will reach Pakistan on October 21.

He said that the parliament has passed the 62-(1)F law which has also been endorsed by the President of Pakistan. The period of disqualification under this law is five years, he said, adding that Mian Nawaz Sharif, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Jahangir Tareen, and others have benefited from this law.

Maryam Nawaz has been acquitted in the second joint case, Ishaq Dar added.

Responding to a query about Nawaz Sharif's return, Dar assured that a grand welcome awaits him in Pakistan.

Addressing economic matters, Senator Ishaq Dar expressed his concerns about controversial judicial decisions and their potential impact on Pakistan's economic stability. He remarked, "Had our policies continued, today Pakistan would have joined the twenty-five largest economies in the world." However, he remained hopeful about Pakistan's economic future, emphasizing the PML-N's commitment to restoring the economic conditions of 2013 should they be granted the opportunity.

In response to a question about Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Dar refrained from making specific comments, stating, "Bilawal is like a son to me," and declined to elaborate further.

Dar said that the PDM government made decisions through consensus, highlighting the importance of collaborative governance.

Former federal minister said that talks of alliance with the Istehkam-e-Pakistan are premature.
