Lahore court remands Pervaiz Elahi into police custody for one day

A local court in Lahore remanded former Punjab chief minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi to police for one day in a graft case pertaining to the Lahore Master Plan 2050, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) produced Pervaiz Elahi in the court.
Magistrate Rehan Al Hassan pronounced the reserved verdict after arguments in the case were completed.
During the hearing, Pervaiz Elahi’s lawyer requested the court to discharge the case.
Earlier, the court reserved its decision on the Punjab Anti-Corruption Establishment’s request for PTI President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi’s physical remand in a graft case pertaining to the Lahore Master Plan 2050.
