Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) arrested nine drug-peddlers who were involved in supplying narcotics to students in different educational institutions during last 24 hours in different intelligence-based operations (IBOs), reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Tuesday.
According to details, anti-narcotics teams recovered 252 kilograms of narcotics from possession of these drug-peddlers. The market value of the seized narcotics in international market is Rs150 million.
During one operation, ANF team intercepted a car near M-I Toll Plaza, Islamabad and recovered 3.6 kilograms of opium and 1 kilogram of hashish and arrested four accused persons including 2 women.
In another operation, ANF team recovered 400 grams of hashish in operation which was conducted near a University in Rawalpindi. While ANF team recovered 530 grams of ice (crystal methamphetamine).
ANF team arrested a person from the parking area of Karachi Railway Station and recovered 2.4 kilograms of hashish from his custody. ANF team seized 75 kilograms of heroin from Malik Arif who is a resident of Chaman. 7 kilograms of hashish and 2 kilograms of ice (crystal methamphetamine) was also recovered from a person of Hub area.
Anti-Narcotics Force team intercepted a trolley on Jabl area of Quetta and recovered 160 kilograms of hashish and arrested two drug peddlers.
All the arrested drug-peddlers admitted their involvement in transportation and selling of these narcotics specially in educational instructions of the country.
Anti-Narcotics Force team registered a case under Anti-Narcotics Act against the arrested accused persons and started investigations.
