Renowned Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi was mistakenly considered ‘dead’ after Tamil star Vivekh’s death news started circulating over social media.
Vivek Oberoi took the matter in his own hands after the rumour started catching much attention and took to twitter to eradicate the false news:
“There has been a false news report about me being hospitalised in Chennai, I would like to clarify that I am safe & healthy with my family in Mumbai, but deeply saddened to hear abt the demise of @Actor_Vivek from the Tamil industry. I extend my deepest condolences to his family,” he tweeted.
Widely recognized Tamil actor and comedian Vivekh lost the battle of life after an intense cardiac arrest. This news was not taken lightly by the public and Prime Minister Narendra Modi personally posted a mourning message for the veteran actor on social media himself:

“The untimely demise of noted actor Vivek has left many saddened. His comic timing and intelligent dialogues entertained people. Both in his films and his life, his concern for the environment and society shone through. Condolences to his family, friends and admirers. Om Shanti.”
However, the news of Tamil actor’s death led to heaps to confusion and rumours started circulating that Indian actor Vivek Oberoi is in one of the Chennai hospitals and went through coronary angiogram which led to angioplasty. This news is correct however it is the Tamil actor Vivekh who was in fact hospitalized and went through angioplasty, not Oberoi.
Tamil star Vivekh died at the age of 59 after an intense cardiac arrest.
Vivek Oberoi has recently been vaccinated against COVID-19.
