President of Pakistan Dr Arif Alvi has accepted the resignation of Sindh Governor Imran Ismail, 24News HD TV Channel reported on Monday.
According to the notification, Sindh Assembly Speaker Agha Siraj Durrani will perform the duties of the Acting Governor of Sindh till the appointment of a new governor.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail had already announced leaving the governorship on April 11 and sent his resignation to the President.
Sindh Governor Imran Ismail has mentioned in his resignation that Prime Minister Imran Khan was removed through a ‘foreign-sponsored conspiracy’ and he couldn’t give protocol to a person as PM who has serious allegations of corruption.
He also mentioned in the resignation letter that he would continue his struggle for the independence of the motherland with his leader Imran Khan because to remain Sindh governor would be a violation of his self-respect.
