Hollywood star Alexandra Daddario has again backed Saim Sadiq's Joyland.
Reportedly, she encouraged people to attend special screenings of the narrative from Pakistan.
"Come watch this brilliant movie!" wrote the star on a social media post.
"Special screenings 21st, 22nd, and 23rd with Lauren Mann."
Joyland was set to release across Pakistan on November 18 but was banned in wake of complaints about the movie's 'objectionable content.'
The film, starring Ali Junejo, Rasti Farooq, and Alina Khan, tells a love story between a middle-class boy and a transgender star, and made its debut at Cannes earlier this year, earning a jury prize and standing ovations.
The Hollywood star raised her voice for the film earlier as well,
Daddario previously shared a post on Twitter praising the film, acknowledging the standing ovations at various film festivals around the world it received, stating that good stories and good cinema are deserving of attention.
