National Electric Power Regulatory Authority (NEPRA) will hear applications submitted by four government power-producing companies seeking reduction in tariff on April 24 in Islamabad, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Friday.
According to the details, these power plants includes Haveli Bahadur Shah, Jhang and Baloki Kasur.
Haveli Bahadur Shah and Baloki Power Plants obtained a capacity to produce 1200 megawatt electricity.
Gaddu Power Plant who have capacity to produce 747 megawatt of electricity also submitted an application in NEPRA.
Nandi Pur Power Plant holding a capacity to produce 525 megawatt of electricity also submitted application for reduction in tariff.
During the hearing, operations, maintenance and indications of these power plants will be reviewed.
While a detailed review will be taken on take and pay mechanism including payment through insurance cap.
It is necessary to mention here that pior to this 18 private independence power producing (IPPs) submitted application seeking reduction in power tariff.
