Afghanistan Embassy in Tajikistan Tuesday demanded Interpol arrest fled president of Afghanistan, Ashraf Ghani for stealing national treasure.
The embassy also demanded the Interpol that the fled president of Afghanistan should hand over the treasury to an international tribunal.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the embassy has also demanded the arrest of two companions of Ashraf Ghani—Afghan National Security Advisor, Hamdullah Mohib and Chief Advisor Fazel Mahmood were involved in stealing the treasury.
Following the Constitution of Afghanistan, the Embassy officials have also replaced the photo of President Ashraf Ghani due to his escape from the country with the photo of Afghanistan’s Vice President Amrullah Saleh.
Pertinent to mention here that reportedly, Afghan President Ashraf Ghani was fled with some treasury boxes from the country to Tajikistan but did not reach there.
Later, Ashraf Ghani was reported to land in Oman with treasury boxes. Anyhow, his current whereabouts were unknown.
Reportedly, Russia's embassy in Kabul claimed that Ashraf Ghani fled with four luxurious cars and a helicopter fully loaded with currency notes.
