Following cut in car rates by major rivals Toyota and Suzuki, Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HACPL) has also notified a massive reduction in its car prices in Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Thursday.
The prices of Honda City, Honda Civic, and Honda BR-V in Pakistan have been reduced with effect from 17 August 2022 due to the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar.
It is pertinent to mention that local automotive companies announced a massive increase in their prices due to depreciation of the Pakistani rupee against the US dollar as the local currency had slumped to nearly Rs240 last month. However, the rupee has made immense improvement against the US dollar recently, which has led to automotive companies cut their prices, passing on the benefit to the customers.
Toyota Indus Motor Company (IMC) and Pak Suzuki Motor Company (PSMC) had both already announced reduction in the prices of their all car variants.
Honda BR-V Price
The price of Honda BR-V in Pakistan has been reduced to Rs4,939,000 compared to previous rate of Rs5,299,000. This means the vehicle has witnessed a reduction in price of Rs360,000.
According to Honda Atlas Cars Pakistan Limited (HACPL), the new prices will be applied on current back order with expected delivery date October 2022 and orders booked from August 17, 2022 and onwards.
Meanwhile, the unclear back orders with expected delivery date till September 2022 can avail currently applied price on order (as per previous letter of July 30, 2022 – 50% of total price increase) if complete payment is done till August 17, 2022.
Furthermore, all cars will be invoiced at the new prices from August 17 and this includes FED, Sales Tax and CVT.
