The Deputy Convener of the Muttahida Qauimi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) Kanwar Naveed Jameel passed away on Thursday night.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, he was bedridden after suffering a brain haemorrhage on June 28, 2022, and some days ago was shifted to a private hospital as he was facing difficulty in breathing.
Kanwar Naveed Jameel had served as the Mayor of Hyderabad and a Member of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh (MPA) from provincial constituency PS-127.
The deceased is survived by a widow and two sons. The funeral prayer of the deceased will be offered at Mustafa Masjid DHA Phase I Karachi at 1:30 pm after Friday prayers while burial will be done at DHA Phase 8 graveyard.
MQM-P Convener Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui and Karachi Mayor Barrister Murtaza Wahab expressed condolences on the death of Kanwar Naveed Jameel.
Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said Kanwar Naveed was a rare asset and senior leader of his party and his services to the MQM and the country are unforgettable. The MQM convener expressed the deep grief and sorrow of the bereaved.
Murtaza Wahab expressed his condolence for the late Kanwar Naveed Jameel and prayers for the rest of his soul in peace. He said Kanwar Naveed Jameel was a friendly and well-mannered person and his services as District Nazim Hyderabad will be remembered.
