The land around the mausoleum of the Father of the Nation Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah also became a victim of China cutting in Karachi, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel Friday.
The National Accountability Bureau has initiated an investigation into alleged China cutting on the land of the Mazar-e-Quaid.
China cutting is basically an illegal way of carving out big amenity plots, community centres, government plots, parks or even cemeteries into smaller plots up to 100 yards or below each and sale them.
NAB Sindh has sought the record from the Sindh Building Control Authority in this regard. In a letter written to the SBCA focal person, the NAB Sindh has asked the authority to submit the record of the land allotted for the Mazar-e-Quaid.
The NAB has also sought the record of the allotments of the land of Mazar-e-Quaid till December 23, 2020.
In the letter, NAB Sindh has also mentioned different plots grabbed through China cutting belonging to Mazar-e-Quaid land.
