If you frequently find yourself losing track of important WhatsApp messages then this handy trick will help.

It allows you to earmark an address, password or any other important information that you may have been sent by friends and family.

The feature, called starred messages, ensures you don’t have to lose any key messages in a mass of other texts.

It lets you flag certain texts that you can then go and view in the Starred Messages section of the app.

To bookmark a text, hold down on the message and press “Star” in the drop-down menu.

This will automatically save it to your Starred Messages cache, which stores all of your starred messages in one place.

You can unstar a message by repeating the same process.

There are two ways you can access your starred messages.

To view the starred messages within a specific chat, open the WhatsApp app and open the chat.

The user can star a key message so it will be easy to find.

Tap the name of the individual or group chat at the top of your screen. Tap Starred Messages.

To see a list of all starred messages, go to WhatsApp Settings > Starred Messages.

Tapping on a starred message even brings you back to that exact point in the chat, so you can even check why and when it was sent.

Whatsapp gives users the ability to preview messages before sending it.

The user can re-record the audio message after previewing.

Of course, WhatsApp already has a system in place to ensure you never lose a message. Its backup tool automatically saves every message you send to your phone’s memory.

The Starred Messages system is different, however, because it lets you pick out specific texts to save for later.–nypost.com
