A case against a gang of three dacoits who killed a constable and his son in Islamabad has been registered, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Ramna Police Station Islamabad registered a case on the application of martyr constable Ashraf’s nephew under the provisions of murder and anti-terrorism.
It is pertinent that in a shocking incident in the Ramna police station limit on Sunday, a police constable and his son fell victim to a brutal attack by dacoits, leading to their tragic demise.
According to the FIR, the deceased police officer had reported a motorcycle theft from the flat parking a week ago, initiating a case.
This morning, the constable spotted two suspicious individuals in the parking area and identified them as potential motorcycle thieves.
Suspecting their involvement, the constable confronted the suspects, believing them to be the same motorcycle thieves from the previous incident. He gave chase, managing to apprehend one of the culprits, the FIR read.
However, the second accomplice, hiding in the motorcycle shelter, opened fire, fatally shooting the police officer. Upon hearing the commotion, the officer's son, Zeshan, rushed to his father's aid, only to become the target of gunfire himself.
Following the cold-blooded murder of the constable and his son, the assailants managed to escape.
Meanwhile, RPO Nasir Khan has suspended the SHO of Rama police station for his failure to stop the ongoing incidents of theft and robbery in the area.
