Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Mian Nawaz Sharif has expressed his dissatisfaction with one of its prominent leaders Daniyal Aziz's public remarks, emphasizing that such issues should be addressed within the party's internal structure, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to party sources, the PLM-N parliamentary board on Sunday convened to discuss Daniyal Aziz's commitment and eligibility for parliamentary tickets in Narowal.
PML-N has already taken disciplinary action against Daniyal Aziz, by issuing a show-cause notice for allegedly violating party rules.
Mr Aziz, who hails from Narowal, had recently chided PML-N Secretary General Ahsan Iqbal and Information Secretary Marriyum Aurangzeb over inflation and poor communication strategy during the 16-month rule of the PDM.
The party contended that Aziz's remarks have not only breached internal regulations but also cast a shadow on the party's reputation.
In the latest development, Nawaz Sharif urged Daniyal Aziz to refrain from criticizing fellow party members, specifically mentioning the need to avoid public criticism of Ahsan Iqbal.
Ahsan Iqbal is the companion of the most difficult times, Nawaz Sharif said adding that those who supported the party in difficulty, the party will support them.
Mian Nawaz Sharif acknowledged the challenging times and stressed that those who supported the party during difficult phases would receive the party's backing in return. He urged party members to stand united during testing times.
Daniyal Aziz apologized to the party leadership for his behavior
Mian Nawaz Sharif also admonished Maulvi Ghiyas Uddin and Ashraf Ansari as both left the party in a difficult time.
Addressing the ongoing internal discord within the party, Nawaz Sharif emphasized the importance of resolving differences through dialogue with the party leadership.
