In a peculiar turn of events, some "honest thieves" in village 304 GB, Toba Tek Singh, returned 12 tolas of gold they mistakenly stole, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
According to the details of the incident, the thieves initially broke into a house intending to rob Naeem’s residence but ended up stealing gold from the wrong house.
Realising their mistake the next day, they packed the stolen gold in a bag, left it at the house’s doorstep, and included an apologetic note expressing regret for their actions.
Chaudhary Abdul Latif, the homeowner, revealed that while the thieves returned the gold, they had also stolen 7,000 riyals and 35,000 Pakistani rupees during the break-in.
SHO Chatiana, Nasir Azeem, confirmed an investigation is underway, and the authorities aim to apprehend the culprits soon.
