The Punjab Home Department has decided to establish joint checkpoints in collaboration with Customs in the province’s border districts, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Wednesday.
According to the channel report, these checkpoints will be set up in Attock, Dera Ghazi Khan, Mianwali, Kot Addu, and Bhakkar.
The primary purpose of these checkpoints is to prevent smuggling and maintain law and order in the region.
Additionally, these posts will play a crucial role in curbing the smuggling of weapons within Punjab. The Punjab Home Department has already devised a comprehensive plan for this initiative.
