The Supreme Court on Wednesday declared the verdict of the Lahore High Court (LHC) null and void and approved post arrest bail of accused Amna Naz who is involved in smuggling of IPhone case against submission of surety bonds worth Rs2 lakh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Justice Mussarat Hilali of the Supreme Court has written the verdict of the bail petition in which she observed that the presence of the accused is necessary during the hearing of the bail petition.
The court must focus on nature, record of crime, and escape before announcing any verdict, and only law reference is not enough while granting bail.
It is necessary to mention here that Lahore airport authorities recovered 26 iPhones from the possession of a lady during the checking process.
The market value of 26 recovered iPhones in Pakistani currency is Rs78,46,778.
