Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday congratulated former prime minister and PPP senior leader Yusuf Raza Gilani after the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) accepted the latter’s nomination papers for the upcoming Senate elections.
Speaking to Gilani over the phone, Bilawal said he didn’t know why the “selected government” of Prime Minister Imran Khan was afraid of Gilani’s entry into the Senate elections, which are scheduled to take place on March 3.
Bilawal said the government was doing conspiracies as the PPP has named Gilani as its candidate for the Senate. He said these conspiracies are meant to give the “selected puppets” a safe exit from the competition against the democratic forces of Pakistan.
