Police on Saturday arrested two accused who allegedly killed a mentally challenged young man and then burnt his body for a small amount of money in Narowal, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
In an utterly inhuman and woeful incident, two brothers Muhammad Rehman and Muhammad Faizan brutally murdered a mentally challenged 20-year-old Saqib Ali in village Peejowali in Narowal.
The trio was indulged in a fight over a Rs1,000 banknote. The accused brothers brutally hit Saqib with bricks and spade injuring him seriously. Later, the lad died of his wounds.
Police said that in order to hide their crime, the brothers destroyed all the evidence and set Saqib’s body to fire. The deceased’s clothes and body were completely consumed by the fire, they added.
The law enforcers said that someone gave Rs1,000 banknote as a charity to the mentally-challenged boy but the accused tried to snatch the money from him. The youth was not letting them nick him and a fight broke out between them in which the accused overpowered the boy. They attacked him with spade and bricks and killed him, the police added.
