Cabinet approves Punjab Highway Patrol Police Rules

The provincial cabinet has approved the Punjab Highway Patrol Police Rules at a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore on Sunday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The rules were approved in 41st meeting of the provincial cabinet.
In the meeting, the decisions of the 39th session of the Supervisory Provincial Cabinet were also ratified.
The law and order situation in the province was also reviewed in the cabinet meeting.
Inspector General of Police Dr. Usman Anwar gave a briefing about the law and order situation in the province.
In the meeting, Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi instructed to take all necessary measures to protect the life and property of the people.
He said there will be no compromise on the implementation of the law in the province.
The security plan of PSL-9 was also reviewed in the meeting and Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi instructed 100 percent implementation of the SOPs of the security plan.
Provincial Ministers, Advisors, Chief Secretary, Advocate General Punjab, Inspector General of Police, Chairman Planning and Development Board, Senior Member Board of Revenue and secretaries of relevant departments attended the meeting.
