Sundar Pichai, the chief executive officer of Google, has shared some insights into his personal and professional life in recent interviews with BBC and Wired.

He revealed that he uses 20 phones at a time for different reasons, as part of his job to test Google products on various devices. He also said that he starts his day by reading Techmeme, a website that aggregates the latest tech news from around the world.

Pichai told BBC that he is constantly changing and trying out every new phone to make sure Google products work well on all of them.

He also stressed the importance of tech literacy and responsible use, especially for children who access YouTube and other online platforms. He highlighted the need for self-imposed boundaries, reflecting on broader societal concerns about technology's influence on young minds.

Pichai also shared some tips on how he keeps his accounts safe. He said that he does not change his passwords often and relies on two-factor authentication for extra security. He explained that two-factor authentication is way safer than meddling with the password repeatedly, which can cause confusion and memory problems.

In a conversation with Wired, Pichai revealed that he begins his day by reading Techmeme, a website that collates the latest global tech news from around the world.

Sunder said that he finds it useful to get a quick overview of what is happening in the tech industry.

Techmeme, founded in 2005 by Gabe Rivera, offers a curated collection of headlines accompanied by concise summaries and links to the original articles.

Pichai is not the only tech leader who frequents its pages. Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook, Satya Nadella of Microsoft, Adam Mosseri of Instagram, and other senior tech executives also count themselves among Techmeme's loyal readers.
