The deadlock in talks between the PML-N and the PPP for the formation of the federal government persists as the latter has put forward more demands to the former, thus further dimming the prospects of any breakthrough on this front, at least in the next few days, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.

Quoting its sources, the channel reported that the PPP had also demanded from the PML-N its share in the administrative seats in Punjab.

Besides that, they disclosed, the party had also demanded from the PML-N top positions for its members in different authorities, companies and corporations of the province such as that of chairman and vice chairman.

Sources added that the PML-N was yet to accept the demand the PPP had made initially that its winning candidates be given constitutional positions in both Center and Punjab.

The next sitting of coordination committees of both parties will be held tomorrow.

Senator Ishaq Dar, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Senator Azam Nazir Tarar and Malik Ahmad Khan will represent the PML-N in the talks, while Syed Murad Ali Shah, Qamar Zaman Kaira, Saeed Ghani, Nadeem Afzal Chan, Nawab Sanaullah Zehri, Shuja Khan and Sardar Bahadur Khan Sehrr will represent the PPP.
