46 more patients succumbed to coronavirus in Pakistan

Pakistan reported 1,920 new coronavirus cases in the past 24 hours (Sunday), the latest data from the National Command and Control (NCOC) shows.

There were 46 more causalities related to the deadly disease as death toll due to coronavirus has reached 10,997 that represents a ratio of 2.1%. Out of 46 deaths during the last 24 hours, 30 who died were on ventilators. Out of 46 patients, 39 patients died in hospitals while 7 patients died out of the hospital.

According to the latest figures, 1,920 new coronavirus cases emerged in the last 24 hours after conducting 37,949 tests. It takes the total cases tally to 521,211 that returned positive after conducting 7,405,571 total tests so far.

The number of active cases in the country reached 34,986 with 2,348 patients in critical condition. There are 631 hospitals with Covid facilities with 2,849 patients admitted across the country.

There are 325 patients on ventilators across Pakistan. There are 55percent patients on ventilators in Bahawalpur, 49% in Multan, 36percent in Lahore and 31percent in Islamabad. There is no patient on a ventilator in AJK, GB & Balochistan.

There were 1,589 more recoveries recorded in the last 24 hours as the number of total recovered cases reached 475,228 with a 91.2% recovery rate.

Punjab

Punjab, the most populous province of the country, has reported 560 new cases in last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 149,782 with 10,861 active cases. In Punjab, 20 patients died in hospital and three died out of the hospitals as the death toll reached 4432. With 537 new recoveries, 134,489 patients have recovered from the virus in Punjab so far.

Sindh

The most affected province Sindh has once again recorded 922 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the provincial tally to 235,576 with 18,158 active cases. In Sindh, 14 patients died in hospital and 4 died out of the hospitals as the death toll reached 3793. With 691 new recoveries, 213,624 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has recorded 276 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 63,615 with 3,592 active cases. The province reported 4 new virus-related deaths as the death toll reached 1,783. With 158 new recoveries, 58,240 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Balochistan

Balochistan has recorded another 43 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 18,612 with 322 active cases. The province reported as the death toll remained at 190. With 29 new recoveries, 18,100 patients have recovered from the virus in the province so far.

Islamabad

Islamabad has recorded 92 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 40,111 with 1,740 active cases. With one new death reported in the Federal Capital as the virus death toll reached 457. With 145 new recoveries, the number of recovered patients is 37,914 in the federal capital so far.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir

Azad Jammu and Kashmir has recorded 25 new cases during the last 24 hours taking the tally to 8,631 with 285 active cases. No new death reported as the death toll remains at 241. There were 23 new recoveries in the AJK as 8,105 patients have recovered so far from the virus.

Gilgit-Baltistan

Gilgit-Baltistan recorded two new cases during the last 24 hours, as the tally reached at 4,884 with 27 active cases. No new death reported in the province, the death toll remains at 101. There were six new recoveries as patients recovered from the deadly disease remained at 4,756.
