Shakira put her ex-boyfriend Gerard Pique at gunpoint after he cheated on her by making a music video showing a severed head put in her fridge.

The singer split from the footballer Pique in June after 11 years of an intimate relationship. According to Daily Mail, it is reported that Shakira found a jar of strawberry jam in the fridge emptied after returning home from travelling that implied someone else’s presence there as no one from the people in the house liked that jam and ate it.

She referred to the whole scenario of her boyfriend cheating on her in the music video for her single Te Felicito, where she can be seen opening a fridge.

Shakira released this “diss” track bashing her ex. She reportedly discovered about her ex Gerard Pique's affair when she found a clue hidden in their fridge, and went onto reference it in the aforementioned music video.

Shakira went onto reference this in the video as well which showed a clip of a head of her fellow singer Rauw Alejandro inside an open fridge.

Gerard, shortly after his separation with Shakira went public with his new girlfriend Clara Chia Marti and Shakira even took a swipe at her in her new diss track which has since topped Spotify's Global Charts.

It was also reported that Shakira started construction of a wall to separate her home from that of her former mother-in-law's following her split with their son. Her Spanish property is connected in some areas to that of her former in-laws and she is seeking to separate them. A TV camera spotted a cement mixer working around Shakira's house in Barcelona.

Residents of the area stated that they have been hearing Shakira 'blasting the song at full volume' from her home, which includes lyrics aimed at her ex’s new girlfriend.

The Bold beauty Shakira makes it crystal clear she is referring to the 23-year-old her former partner is rumoured to have started dating last year before they split. Shakira in the song says “I'm worth two 22's. You traded a Ferrari for a Twingo. You traded a Rolex for a Casio.”

While Shakira's new song features some barbed lyrics aimed at Gerard and his supposed new love Clara Chia Marti, she also includes a few choice words for her ex-mother-in-law.

In the song, she sings the line: 'You left my mother-in-law as my neighbour, with the press at the door and the debt in the Treasury.”

Shakira was overwhelmed and heartbroken when a video from August 2021 surfaced which was recorded ten months before she announced her split from her partner of 11 years. In the video, Clara Chia Marti can be seen in the background of a zoom interview the footballer did from his family home in Barcelona, while Shakira was reportedly abroad with their two children.
