Pakistan Ambassador to Iran Muhammad Mudassar Tipu arrived back in the country from Tehran after tensions between the neighbourly countries escalated on Thursday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Mudassar Tipu arrived back in Islamabad today morning after Pakistan had decided to recall its envoy from Iran following an air attack on a Pakistani village which left two children dead.
According to Ministry of Foreign affairs, Pakistani Ambassador Mudassar Tipu has held farewell meetings with Pakistani diplomatic staff in Tehran before heading back to the country.
The Foreign Ministry on Wednesday ordered Mudassar Tipu to return home and at the same time asked Iran’s Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam, who was in Iran, not to return to Pakistan “for the time being” while completely suspending all high-level ongoing visits.
