Gujrat Bar Secretary, two cousins kidnapped for ransom

Gujarat District Bar Association Secretary Malik Usman Afzal along with two cousins have been abducted for a ransom of Rs 20 million, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.

A case has been registered by Rehmania police station against four persons at the request of Malik Usman's cousin Khurram Siddique Advocate.

As per a first information report (FIR), 16 suspects abducted Secretary Bar Malik Usman Afzal and his two cousins Imran Riaz and Farhan Riaz from the village of Dhol Sarai, Gujarat.

The accused called the abducted people at their place on the pretext of a meeting and not only kidnapped the visiting team but also seized their two vehicles.

The FIR further stated that the accused demanded Rs 20 million as ransom from the heirs for the release of the kidnapped persons.

Four people namely Jahangir, Aamir Raza, Syed Hasan Shah, and Raja Safdar besides 12 unknown accused are included in the FIR.

The police have started investigations besides conducting raids at different places to recover the abductees and apprehend the accused.
